Virat Kohli hogged the headlines on Saturday, as he took a decision to quit Test captaincy and his family members are quite proud of his achievements. India under Kohli recently suffered a 1-2 series loss to South Africa and the decision came one day after that. In his captaincy tenure of seven years, Kohli has taken the Indian side from number seven in the Test rankings to number one at the time of his stepping down as the skipper.

He also took India to the finals of the inaugural edition of the World Test championship and his record of 40 wins in 68 Tests speaks volumes of his impact on the side. He also averages the most as a batter for a Test captain and is by far, the most successful Test captain for India. More than the records, his intensity on the field while leading the team will be missed and a lot of experts are baffled by his decision.

You stand tall in all your milestones – Virat Kohli’s sister

Kohli’s sister Bhawna Kohli Dhingra posted a photo of her brother on Instagram and revealed the 33-year old’s love for the game since his childhood. She heaped praises on her brother for the number of achievements and the mental strength to come up with a bold decision. Her hashtags explained the amount of respect she has had for her brother.

“The kind of passion, honesty and dedication you have for this game we have seen since childhood. You stand tall in all your milestones and have proven your metal from time to time. You have shown the strength of your character by taking this decision too.  Always a proud family ….. ” she wrote and added hashtags #champforever #successfulcaptain #dedication #strength #detremination.

Kohli’s brother Vikas also posted a photo on Instagram depicting the champion trait of the 33-year-old over his captaincy tenure for India. “Now and always #champion #belief #determination #honesty,” he wrote in the caption.
