The newly appointed Indian captain Rohit Sharma is riding high on the back of his team ‘s solid performances in the recently concluded series against West Indies which has now also carried into the ongoing three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. Rohit’s contentment with how the team is shaping up under him was visible in the humorous side of his that he showed to the cameras in India’s second T20I encounter against the Sri Lankans in February 26.
The incident occurred during India’s batting innings when one of the camera persons panned his camera on the skipper, who was in the dressing room sipping coffee. The 34-year-old realised instantly of being on the big screen and cheekily offered the camera person some of his coffee. He then broke into a wide smile and appeared to be relaxed given his team’s dominance on the field in the recent past.
Notably, the star Indian opener has shown his sense of humour on several occasions in the past. He has often interacted with the media in a light-hearted tone leaving them and his fans in splits. Rohit is also hailed by many of his teammates as well as former cricketers as a calm personality and someone who does not get flustered easily.

Rohit Sharma continues to shine as a leader
The Mumbai batter has transformed his calmness into results as a captain for several years now. He is the only captain to have won a record five IPL trophies in his stint with the Mumbai Indians. India has also won the multi-nation tournament, Asia Cup, in the past under his captaincy.
The former vice-captain of the national side was recently appointed as India’s all-format captain after Virat Kohli vacated that position. Though Rohit has already led India in multiple white ball series, his first assignment as India’s Test Captain will come in the upcoming Two match Test series against Sri Lanka.
