The seventh edition of the  Pakistan Super League will kick off on January 27, 2022, with a clash between defending champions Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings at Karachi. A total of 30 matches will be played in the league stage of the tournament followed by three Play-Off games and the final. The summit clash of the event will take place on Sunday, February 27 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Each team will play every other team twice eventually appearing in ten contests in the league phase.

The group stage of PSL 7 will be played in double round-robin format as a team will capture two points after winning the match. Following the group stage, the top four teams will qualify for the play-offs. Karachi will host 15 matches while Lahore city gets 19 matches including the play-offs and the grand final. The six teams involved in Pakistan’s most entertaining T20 league are Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars, Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans, Quetta Gladiators.

The Qualifier of the tournament takes place on February 23, with Eliminator 1 and Eliminator 2 set to be held on February 24 and 25. 1st and 2nd placed teams face each other in Qualifier while Eliminator 1 will see 3rd and 4th placed teams locking horns with each other. The loser of Qualifier and winner of eliminator 1 will be contesting in Eliminator 2 before the ultimate clash concludes the tournament between the winner of Qualifier and winner of Eliminator 2. All the three play-off encounters and the final will start at 7 PM local time.
