The Rajasthan Royals players have been practicing in the nets for quite a few days now, and ahead of the IPL 2022, the Royals divided their players into two teams – Team Blue and Team Pink- and set up a practice match.
Team Pink went in to bat first and scored 184 runs in 20 overs at the loss of four wickets wherein Devdutt Padikkal, 67(51) was the top scorer for Team Pink. He was accompanied by all-rounder Riyan Parag who scored an unbeaten 49* off 27 deliveries.
Team Blue could manage to score only 169 runs while chasing 185 and lost eight wickets to Team Pink. Shimron Hetmyer scored the most runs for Blue as he finished the game on 70*(37). The numbers suggest how powerful his batting would have been.
On the bowling end, Yuzvendra Chahal added two wickets to his cap while conceding 40 runs in four overs. On the other hand, Kuldeep Sen was the most impressive player for the other side as he picked up three wickets in three overs, giving away only 15 runs.

RR will play their first game against SRH at the MCA International Stadium
Rajasthan Royals have curated a great team in the mega-auction this year. They have some quality players on their side in the form of Sanju Samson, Chahal, Hetmyer, Padikkal, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jimmy Neesham, and Trent Boult to name a few, among others. The team won the first-ever season of the Indian Premier League and hasn’t won a title ever since.
Led by Sanju Samson, the team will see Kumar Sangakkara continue to play the role of the Head Coach, Amol Mazumdar as their batting coach, Lasith Malinga as their bowling coach, and Dishant Yagnik as their fielding coach. RR dropped the biggest bomb when they roped in Malinga as their fast-bowling coach.
