Mumbai Indians and India batter Suryakumar Yadav has been in the Indian camp for quite some time now, and he has spent a good amount of time with the players of the team. One such player, that he is close to is India’s wicketkeeper batter, Rishabh Pant. Like every cricket viewer, even Surya is a fan of Rishabh Pant’s tantrums from behind the stumps.

While keeping the gloves, he either passes some funny comments or entertains himself by singing a song or enacting a dialogue. The on-field batter has to go through a lot when Rishabh is wicketkeeping. And Suryakumar has opened up on the same, and revealed how Pant manages to have fun even during intense situations.

On Gaurav Kapur’s YouTube show Breakfast with Champions, Suryakumar Yadav recalled some hilarious moments from the India vs England Test match, where he was a part of the game, fielding at silly point, as a substitute fielder for Cheteshwar Pujara. He said: “Once I was fielding at silly point for Puji bhai in a Test in England. The match situation was tight. And suddenly Pant goes ‘Bhaiya chai samosa, kuch du? Over hogaya. Uth jao!’ (bro do you need anything? Tea, samosa? Get up now, the over is done!)”

Rishabh Pant moves fielders during the game without any reason, as he gets bored

Suryakumar Yadav also talked about Rishabh Pant’s tactics on the field, and how the 24-year-old keeps changing the field settings using perplexing hand gestures. He revealed how the left-hander, when bored, makes gestures asking a fielder to move from a point of fielding, even if he does not actually want the player to move.

“Rishabh is too good when he is keeping. He moves me just 20 cm. Sometimes he does this (hand gestures) and it confuses me where to go. Then he says ‘nothing bhaiya, was just getting bored. Please stand wherever you are,” he added.
