When a stepfather fulfils the same responsibilities as the biological father, a stepson cannot deny his obligation to maintain him, the Calcutta High Court said in a judgment on Tuesday. For the same reason, a biological mother who has remarried has the right to claim maintenance from her son, Justice Kausik Chanda said in his order.
