Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan was spotted donning an International Cricket Council (ICC) badge on his collar during the ICC T20 World Cup Super 12 encounter against the Netherlands at the Perth Stadium on Sunday, October 30.
There was indeed a special reason why the top-ranked T20I batter was wearing this badge of honor in the first place. He was awarded the badge by the governing body of world cricket for being adjudged the Player of the Month for September 2022 courtesy of his outstanding performances in Asia Cup 2022 and the subsequent home T20I series against England.

Rizwan was the leading run-scorer for Pakistan in this year's continental tournament which was played in the T20 format in the UAE. He amassed 281 runs from six innings as the Men in Green finished as the runners-up losing to Sri Lanka by 23 runs in the summit clash.
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old will gear up to regain his lost confidence with an impactful knock against the Dutch side after poor performances against arch-rivals India and Zimbabwe. Mohammad Rizwan has only managed 18 runs in both games (India and Zimbabwe) with scores of four and 14. The two losses have dented Pakistan's chances of making the semis and now, they have to rely on other teams' performances apart from the condition of winning all of their remaining fixtures.
Pakistan outclass the Netherlands
This was a must-win game for Pakistan and the bowlers once again made a tremendous impact with the ball in hand by exploiting the pace and bounce from the Perth surface right from the beginning as the Dutch batters never got going.
The Netherlands completely lost the plot batting first and no batter could even step in for the challenge. Only two batters reached double figures and they were Colin Ackermann (27), and, skipper Scott Edwards (15) as a result of which they could crawl their way to 91/9 in their quota of 20 overs.
