'Fukre idlers make memes' - Ravindra Jadeja tears apart trolls, explains why he dislikes 'Sir' tag

Veteran Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja made quite A comeback, playing a crucial role in India’s dominant win against Australia in the first Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023. Jadeja had been out of action since long due to an injury, but he made sure that his return was quite a memorable one as the 34-year-old was named the Player of the Match in Nagpur.

Despite becoming one of the biggest stars and an integral part of the Indian team, there was once a time when the 34-year-old was targeted on social media for his inconsistent performances. Back in 2013, Jadeja made a tweet replying to one of the trolls. "Don’t even try and judge me, dude. You have no idea what the f*** I’ve been through," Jadeja had written.

Reflecting on that, he talked about how he passed that time. "On days when I haven’t done well, they start trolling, calling me names. They say things without knowing the kind of hard work I have done to reach this stage. Small, small things … there are so many struggles and sacrifices that I don’t even remember them now," Jadeja was quoted as saying by the Hindustan Times.

"Computer ke saamne fukre log baithte rehte hain, meme banate rehte hain aur kuchh bhi likhte rehte hain (Those idlers sitting in front of a computer have nothing to do, they sit and make memes and write anything that comes to their mind)," he added.

Jadeja will be integral for team India in the upcoming Delhi Test

Jadeja impressed with the ball and the bat as well in the first Test against Australia. In the first innings of the game, the 34-year-old completed his fifer and then scored 70 runs off 185 balls. The Australian batter seemed helpless against the returning Jadeja.

The Indian team will once again hope that he can be their trump card in the second match as well. Both teams will play the second Test from February 17 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
