The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is one of the most anticipated Test series in all of cricket as India and Australia have played many memorable matches between them over the years. Perhaps one of the most memorable of all the editions was the 2020-21 Test series, which was played in Australia.
The Indian team, led by Virat Kohli at the time, scored 244 in the first innings of the first Test of the series in Adelaide, while the Aussies were only able to score 191 in response. However, the tables turned for India in the second innings, where the entire team was bundled out for just 36, as Australia chased the target easily in the second innings to take a 1-0 lead in the four-match series.
Despite the setback, India bounced back with a victory in the second Test in Melbourne to level the series. They two teams drew the next encounter in Sydney before India registered a historic win in the final game of the series in Brisbane to clinch the series.
With less than three days until the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Cricket Australia took to Twitter to share a video of India's ill-famed 36-run all-out in the first Test. Sharing the video, CA captioned it "All out for 36. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy starts on Thursday! #INDvsAUS."

Following that, the Aussies faced severe flak on Twitter as the said Test series ended in India's favour, who retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with a 2-1 victory. Meanwhile, both the teams will once again go against each other as the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is set to commence on February 9.
