IPL 2023 final, CSK vs GT Stats Preview: Players records and approaching milestones

After 70 league matches and three playoff encounters, it all comes down to the mega-final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The four times champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will lock horns with the defending Champions Gujarat Titans (GT) in the summit clash on Sunday, May 28, at the grand and iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Both the teams last met in Qualifier 1 of the ongoing IPL at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, where the Chennai Super Kings defeated Gujarat Titans by 15 runs. 

Each and every individual has stepped up in different situations for CSK. The openers were very consistent as both Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad aggregated 625 and 564 runs, respectively, in 15 matches. Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, and MS Dhoni all came up with a few good cameos whenever needed. In the bowling department, Tushar Deshpande has picked 21 wickets, and Jadeja has picked 19 wickets. CSK would look to beat defending champions Gujarat Titans and clinch their fifth IPL trophy 

On the other hand, Gujarat Titans will be coming into the contest after defeating Mumbai Indians in the Qualifier 2. Shubman Gill is in great touch for GT and has aggregated 851 runs in 16 games at an average of 60.78 and an excellent strike rate of 156.43; also, Gill has smashed three centuries in the ongoing league. In the bowling department, Mohammed Shami has picked 28 wickets, and Rashid Khan has picked 27. GT would also look beat CSK and try to defend their title. 

Meanwhile, here are some of the important stats and numbers ahead of final between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2023: 

Head-to-Head: Both CSK and GT met each other four times in IPL, and GT has won three occasions, and CSK Managed to win only once.
