Ahead of the three-match ODI series against West Indies, India revealed their new team jersey. Looking at that, the fans expressed their disgust as the name of the sponsors carried more space than the name of the country. A few of them even stated that it feels like a sponsored team and not a national team which will host the upcoming ODI World Cup.

Meanwhile, BCCI and the players themselves have shared photos of the shoot ahead of the ODI series. Adidas, the new kit sponsor of the Indian team revealed the jersey in the month of June but it’s for the first time that the fans are seeing the name of the sponsors over the jersey. Notably, this is not the first time that the fans have criticised the national team jersey. The Test kit too faced the wrath as the name Dream XI dominated the front portion of the jersey in bright Red color.

Meanwhile, the team management will not be bothered by the reaction as they will be determined to get the job done in the ODI series. West Indies, on the other hand, failed to qualify for the ODI World Cup and following which, they have faced a lot of criticism. Thus, if the Shai Hope-led side manages to pull off an upset, that will be a massive blow to the visiting team.

India meanwhile will be hoping to sort out their playing XI in the ongoing series. With KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Jasprit Bumrah not there, youngsters too will get an opportunity to express themselves and if they manage to do well, the likes of Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson and Jaydev Unadkat can be in contention for the mega tournament.

Hence, these players will be fired up in order to prove a point while the senior batters like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be aiming to get into the zone of ODI cricket. On the other hand, Shubman Gill, who had a very bad time in red-ball cricket will be aiming to bounce back in order to retain his place in the playing XI.
