Chennai Super Kings are coming into this game after a loss against Rajasthan Royals, while Delhi Capitals would be confident after beating Mumbai Indians. Both the teams have won nine out of their 12 matches and would try to solidify their claim to the top two places. As these two star-studded teams come face to face, it will be a great chance for fans to collect fantasy points.

Here are 3 players to avoid in fantasy teams for DC vs CSK game:

1. Steve Smith

Steve Smith was preferred ahead of Lalit Yadav and has been playing as a replacement for Marcus Stoinis. His entry into the XI has also pushed Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer to a place down in the batting order. He batted at no. 3 in the previous match with not a lot of runs.

His form has been a bit of concern for his team. The Aussie has not played professional cricket for some time and may find it difficult to get runs. There are some other batters who have more chances to score and it would be better if you select them on your side instead of Smith.

2. Ravi Ashwin

Even though Ravi Ashwin played a good hand with the bat in the win against Mumbai, he will not be playing a part in every game with the bat. This is a key factor because he bats at no. 8 for Delhi and with the batting heavy unit at play, not always do they need the services of Ashwin to get them through the game. Also,Ashwin’s impact with the ball has also not been too great.

He has not regularly picked up wickets and Pant has used him in various situations, with success in some and no success in others. He is a champion player, but in this particular contest, it won’t be a bad idea to go for a bowler who can pick two or three wickets.

3. Sam Curran

The young all-rounder was in superb form with the bat and the ball in the first leg of the IPL 2021. However, ever since he went back to England for the summer, his form in both disciplines has dropped. It is not only about T20 cricket, his form in Tests was not good either, because of which was dropped from the England team.

In the last two matches, he has bowled eight overs in total, giving away 111 runs with the ball. Now, that is some terrible bowling efforts and he has paid a heavy price for being on point. Curran could struggle for wickets as he has right through the last few months. On top of that, he is not even contributing with the bat or putting it in the right way, not getting enough chances.
