Parliament passed the bill to repeal the three farm laws via voice vote on Monday, the first day of the winter session. Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha passed the bill via voice vote and without discussion, amid sloganeering by opposition members. Agriculture minister Narendra Tomar said in Rajya Sabha that as both the government and the opposition are for repeal of the laws, there was no need for discussion on the bill.
