The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Cricket Board recently announced that they will be hosting New Zealand for a three-match T20I series that is scheduled to begin in August. In a release, it was announced that the matches will be played on August 17, 19, and 20.
New Zealand are coming off a fabulous victory against England in the second match of the Test series. The Black Caps won the second game by a single run, levelling the series after both teams won one match each. New Zealand will now take on Sri Lanka for a two-match Test series, a three-match ODI series, which will be followed by a three-match T20I series. The first Test is scheduled to begin on March 9 at the Hagley Oval in New Zealand.
The series against New Zealand will go a long way in the development of the UAE players and will help them test themselves against one of the best teams in the world. This will be the second series that the UAE will play against a Full Member at home this year after their matches against Afghanistan.
They played three T20I matches against Afghanistan in February 2023, which they lost 1-2.
